What is breast ptosis ?
Breast sagging, or ptosis, is defined by droopy and out of shape breasts that sit lower than their original position on the chest. Sagging breasts tend to appear distended with a flattened upper pole. Breast ptosis is a process resulting from progressive glandular volume loss and skin distension. This process is accentuated with age and can also be the result of a significant weight loss (which naturally occurs during pregnancy).
Rejuvenating the breasts

Surgical technique
Surgeons work at reshaping the breasts to give them a harmonious shape. To achieve this result, the mammary gland is repositioned higher and the skin envelope is adapted to the newly shaped breasts by skin resection for a youthful tone while making sure skin tension is normal. The areolas are often repositioned higher as well, at the center of the breasts, with an incision along their outer edge.
