Bicep implants : the most requested
Among the different types of arm implants, bicep implants are without a doubt the most requested. The procedure, commonly called bicep augmentation, is fairly simple. A short incision is made in the inner side of the arm. The surgeon creates a ‘pocket’ (space to accommodate the implant) where the implants will be placed. This incision will almost be invisible because of its placement. Once the pocket is ready, the implant is placed within soft issues in the arm (muscles and fat). The size of the implants depends on each specific case, but these weigh 100 to 200g on average.
After the operation is completed, the operated area of the arm starts to develop tissue that will keep the implant in place. Full recovery can be expected after the 4 weeks mark.
Pectoral implants
Pectoral implants are also highly demanded by male patients who want to achieve more defined and impressive chest muscles. This procedure starts with a short incision in one of the natural folds of the underarm area. While this incision is typically short (up to 5cm), surgery is performed under general anesthesia.
Pectoral implants come in different sizes to be perfectly adapted to the pectoral muscle . Pectoral implants are 200 to 300 cm3 on average. One of the main benefits of the procedure is that it is relatively simple and with very low risk of complications. Patients have to take a break from exercise during at least 4 weeks after the operation.
Calf implants
While bicep implants are the most requested implants to improve the appearance of the arms, calf implants are the most common implants used for leg improvements. This part of the body is one of the most exposed during summer since shorts and simshorts are more common during this time of the year, which explains the request for calf implants.
